Hello all, just wanted you to know that I will be missing in action for about a week. My brother passed away today in Washington State. I will be driving there for his funeral in the next couple days. Other mods will be keeping an eye out for spammers and may do some posting while I am gone. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

Thank all of you. I made it back this morning about 12:15am. It was a long hard trip. I will try to catch up on our goings on here on the forum today. But I think I am going back to bed for a few hours more. Again thanks for all your thoughts and prayers as I did need them and they got me through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

PinkGrandma, welcome back!  I have thought of you often in your absence.  Glad you are safely back home, though I can understand how tired you must be.  Rest up and we'll be here when you are feeling up to joining us.

Hugs,

Connie

Pink Grandma  I just read your post.  I was wondering what happened to you. I have missed you.   So sorry to hear about your brother.  How horrible for you to loose your husband then your brother.  Jerry ended up in the hospital for New Years.  I gave the Dr's a hard time this go around.  I guess I just was over it.  He's been out of the hospital for a week and retaining fluid really bad.  They reduced his diaretics because he became severly dehydrated.  We have had this appt with Vandy for a month.  They start tomorrow with two days of tests.  We're in a Hotel because the tests can all be done as an outpatient.  I'm afraid they will admit him because he is so sick.  I just don't know how much more his body can take this.  After these two days of tests then the committee meets and he should be on the list for a transplant.  That will probably take another few weeks!!!  We are going to persue a live donor.  I'm just scared that will take months also and we don't even know yet if either of his sons are a match.  They're blood type matches but there is some many other things that have to match.  Anyway I will keep you posted.  By the way I am originally from Washington State.  I hope you didn't get wet!!!  TAke care and I will be in touch.

Good Bless JoAnn

Hello JoAnn, When my husband did the 2 day eval process the transplant committee met the very next week. I believe that we knew that week that he didn't make the list then. When he finally made the list we were totally blown away. We didn't even know that his case had come up again. If your husband doesn't make the list they should give you reasons why he didn't and what he needs to do to be able to be re-evaluated again. Don't give up.
Good luck. Thoughts and prayers..........
