I dont' know what to do, i continue to have weird symptoms, ive tested negative out to 1year on the Hep panel test... does this mean that i'm in the clear, is this related to something else or could it still be hep?

Well heres the story in short: about one year ago i think i was drugged and woke up next to this guy i didnt really know... he said we didn't have sex, but sorry if too much info, but i was bleeding "down there,"  8 weeks later i developed symptoms: sore muscles/neck, fatigue, nausea, digestive problems, and a funny sort of painful feeling in the groin/armpit... (lymph nodes maybe) got tested at 9weeks for HIV and STDs: neg, symptoms continued (mainly just sore muscles) then at about 5 months post exposure, i felt a funny pain feeling in my upper right side: took an acute hep panel test: all negative and all liver enzymes normal as well... symptoms basically disappeared after that until about 3 or 4 weeks ago, (1 year post exposure) got very nauseated (couldn't even eat a couple of the days), and sore muscles came back, also complete loss of appetite, and a very sharp pain in my upper right side on and off, went back and got tested for Hep (all negative again after 1 year) and liver enzymes still normal as well.... Got tested for HIV again too, negative as well...  These symptoms are identical to the ones 8 weeks post exposure and i was never sick before that.... I really do think im going crazy, i know all of these symptoms are NOT in my head, i had dropped the issue after all tests came back neg at 5 months, but when symptoms resurfaced i started to worry again.... everyone ive talked to however has said that its just in my head and that no one seroconverts after year unless they have cancer or some immune disease, my worry is i was exposed to both hep and hiv at the same time and maybe i just havent developed antibodies to either yet?  they also ran simple blood tests which were all fine with very slightly elevated white blood cell count...

lol well maybe it wasnt that short... but what do you guys think?

That one sexual exposure is the only risk ive had, i dont do drugs, no tatoos, i do have a belly button ring but im positive it was sterile, and i dont really drink that much, only occasionally socially....

What kind of doctor should i see, an internist? gastroenterologist? infection disease? im at a loss for what to do, and no one seems to take me or the symptoms seriously...

Savedtheworld, is that 12 month neg for the antibody test or for a pcr test? ive only had negative antibody tests up to 12 months, but ive never had a pcr test, does that make a difference?

Pennielane, 2 people have told you that they don't believe that you contracted HIV or Hepatitis that the tests are accurate, which I agree with. Dan'sbrother has told you 3 times. On top of that, he has given you some excellent advice. Now Pennielane I am not trying to be rude but if you still have doubts you really need to question your doctor about your concerns. That will probably be the only way to calm your fears.

Take care..............
