I guess I dont know how to do this right! I am just feeling like I am at a point of a melt down. I have watched my man go down over the last eight years. He has been unable to work but took over running the household things. Now he cant write a marketing list let alone drive there. I have seen amonia levels as high as 300 as he collapses on the living room floor in a coma. he sometimes stays home as much as 10 days in a row then amonia shoots up to 200-250 in the amount of time it takes to nap. Local EMT's are knowing us by name now. local ER DR's dont even have to ask whats going on anymore, they just get me ice for my hot flashes and snacks while they do their thing. This man cant even work a remote anymore and you know men and their remotes. We now pick up lactulose by the case, along the longer and longer list of meds. He has had more rides with emt's to the transplant center than i can count. I dont even drive the 1hr plus drive till later I go home now and sleep cause they will call with questions and try not to feel quilty cause i didnt follow the ambulance i only go as far as local ER till they transfer him. I have to rely on friends and family now so I can go back to work I only get 12wks LOA per year and keep my job, savings is shrinking the economy is shrinking the retirement plan, gas prices are out of control 60$ to fill a VW bug imagine that. I still go to call my mummy for a shoulder and usually remember as i dial that she passed in january and she left way to soon...

We cant just say "ENOUGH" can we, we cant stay on what mummy called "A PITY POT" so what do we do..... try to hang on.... how long can you hang in with out snapping. He has a MELD score of 20 and here in our region you dont even get considered till 30 or more!  Im thinking of starting a support group locally but that just seems overwhelming right now. Oh what to do.....
