i finally persuaded my mum to go for an x ray as the groin and back pain were unbearable.even  after takin painkillers she was crying with the pain/ the x rays showed nothing but we took her to the E.R because the pain was so bad. bad news they transferred her to a hospital further away. yesterday she got an MRI and today she is getting a Ct scan. her skin is going yellow again. she is in a lot of pain, the hospital don't have her notes and they nothing about her. so we have to wait for the results.
it was her birthday on sunday when we visited she had to pack her nose to stop the nosebleeds which she is getting. she was using a zimmer but finding it extremely difficult. during this time she still manages to get her vodka, now shecalls for a taxi and they bring the drink to her door.
i do not know what the next stage will be and i am trying not to worry but its so hard. she has a terrble smell coming off her breath so bad it makes you physically feel sick when near her.  i tell her i love her every time i see her no matter what she does. i know she is completely lost to this disease and it is going to take her. but waiting for more bad news is unbearable

Hi Allie, My thoughts and prayers are still with you also. It is really good that your mother is getting medical attention.
There is always hope!
