First off I want to say so sorry for not posting in such a long time. I truely have missed you all and pray for you daily! I see there are alot of newbies here and I'm so glad you all found this sight to get the everything answers you need! I was blessed to find these friends a year ago last Oct. when my then 21 yr. old son was diagnosed with Hep B ESLD. Dr's. said that by the end of 2008 he would need a Liver Transplant to live. Well let me tell you sometimes these Dr'. can be soooooo wrong. Don't give up on your loved ones yet! I know it is hard to deal with the up's and down's and the emotional rollercoaster get's exhausting. Know that you have come to a forum that let's you vent, cry and get educated! These wonderful people will give you advice and direction at no cost. Truely caring individuals that have either been there themselves or have/had loved ones going threw the same horrific disease.
Wil, has pretty much defied all!
In April, he was told they found two lesions on his rt. lobe of his liver, down to 140lbs at 6'1 you can emagine my heartache everytime I saw his skeletal figure come threw the door! July,we went to Shand's for more testing and they had said the meds he started on the first of the year are now working and holding him stable. But, now today he has gained back up to 182lbs looks great, feels great and is very happy! On Oct. 18th he got married and they are expecting my first grandchild, It's a GIRL! We went for sonogram on Fri. mom and baby are healthy all test come back neg. for hepatitis, downs ect. Wil, goes back to Shand's on Dec.11 & 12. I truely believe Power of Prayer has kept us going and God has heard all of ours and yours. I want to say Thank you all for your support, loving words, advice and prayers. I will try and keep you posted as to what's going on. Take care and Bless you all!
Huggs and Smooches,
