Hello everyone,
I have a quick question. I had to have a tooth pulled last week and it seems to be taking a really long time to start healing. In fact the gum surrounding the site seems to be pulling farther away. I was just wondering if my Hep C could be the cause. It seems like even little scratches take so long to heal. I have atleast 2 more teeth that need pulled but I'm almost to the point of saying forget especially since this one is giving me such fits. Enough whining! I'm just curious as to why this is such a slow heal. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. I keep you all in my prayers and a special hello to you Pink Grandma.
Love and prayers,
Pasey

Pasey, I think it does take longer to heal.  I had my remaining teeth extracted and got dentures a few years ago, and it did seem to take a long time to heal.  Also had a fall over 2 wks. ago and am still healing from the cuts and scrapes I got from that.

I hope your fall was not too bad. I know what you mean. The other night I got up to get a drink of water and was carrying my glass when i trip (over what I have no idea). Landed with the glass in my hand and by some miracle it didn't break. I mean it landed on the floor clutched in  my hand. Once again God looks out for us klutzes. Thank you for the info. Take carea and be safe

It was a pretty bad fall, but thank God nothing was broken and my artificial hips didn't dislodge.

You be careful, too!!!

I too have a hard time with healing, although I thought it was from the pred I take maybe it is a liver thing. If I get a scratch it seems to bleed forever and looks like I have been really cut rather than a scratch. Wish I could blame my lack of coordination on my liver disease, however since I have always been a "klutz" too I am not sure anyone I know would go for it. I have a dentist appointment next week and will have to ask him about this.
Glad to hear from you again.
