My mother passed away last Monday evening, February 23. She was 58 years old, and diagnosed with cirrhosis in September. She didn't drink, so we don't really know what happened. It just happened. I feel like I failed her-that maybe if I were there to take care of her, I could have helped her get well enough to have a transplant. I can't change it, so I'm just trying to deal. This is very painful to write, as I miss her so much. I'll try to keep reading, and I will always remember how kind everyone here has been.

Oh (((Sue))),  I am so sorry.  Please accept my sincere condolences on your mom's passing.  I know it's very difficult for you right now and it's a road that you have to walk.  I walked with my husband.   And it wasn't easy.   Time is a great healer.......and that's what it is going take to get through this part of your journey.....time.

Come back when ever you are up to it........we would love to hear from you...........take care........thoughts and prayers......

{{{{Sue}}}}  I'm so sorry that your mom passed away.  Please don't feel guilty or play the "what if?" game.  It was just her time to go.

Remember we are always here for you.

Sue,

I agree with Mer.  Take comfort in the fact that your Mother is no longer suffering.  You probably don't know what happened because your Mother didn't want you to know.  Parents don't want to burden their children with such matters.  Parents take great joy in watching their children flourish and will shield them from anything that may break their momentum.

Understand that liver disease has numerous causes and so many have nothing to do with drinking.  Your Mother would not want you to beat yourself up over this, so please don’t do this to yourself.  Honor her wishes and peace be with you.  Cherish her memory and know she is smiling upon you.  I know you will miss her until you meet again.

(((hugs)))  Take care and let us know how you are doing.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Penny
