Penny, you are truely amazing, to go that extra mile sending me the links, everyone is so kind. Don't know what you do for a living, but I would be more at ease if you were on the transplant team. I need to take a whole day and do alot of research, so many questions I have. Until now I've kinda had my head buried in the sand, I avoid bad situations. So I didn't want to know and face the reality of all this. I figured, o.k. he needs a liver, he'll get one. Well I need to face the fact that he might not. And be prepared to deal with it, but stay positive also.  Never-ever in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be dealing with something like this. My God if only I could trade places with him, I would in a min. But you girls are wonderful....... and keep up the good work!!!

Debbie,

Thank you for the kind words.  You will find overwhelming support on this forum.  I love everyone here.  The helped me through some of my darkest hours.  I guess I’m trying to show my appreciation by passing it on.  Glad you found us.

I’m a supervisor of telephone technicians.  I’m so happy to do what I can to help.  I only wish I could do more.  I became my husband’s advocate.  We went through hell trying to get a transplant.  I wish the process wasn’t so difficult.  There are no guarantees.  We just have to do what we can to move the process alone.

Ask any questions you like—someone will  jump in with an answer.  Keep the faith and keep your chin up.  This is a difficult process but a process just the same.  It needs to be managed one step at a time and one day at a time.  I've never been through such a range of emotion in all my life.  I always reminded myself that God doesn't put more on us than we can handle and that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger.  The strength is within us all.

Penny
