Hello, Bucci!

My husband, who has Hep C and cirrhosis was on prednisone for quite some time. The reason he was on prednisone was because of some vasculitis issues he was having as a result of the HepC. The prednisone (he was on it for almost a year) started to affect his kidneys, caused some psychosis issues, and all kinds of issues. He is no longerr on the prednisone. Prednisone over a long period of time can cause all kinds of problems....blood sugar levels, kidney damage, etc. I would definitely talk to your doctor about the treatment and definitely watch your bloodowrk.

Hope I have helped at least a little.......

It also is the #1 cause of osteonecrosis, in which the large joints collapse, and also causes tiny stress fractures of the spine.
