well today i took my mom to the dr's and there was no fighting, hell she was in a good mood. she lowered the dr's chair and he plopped down on it and was like "it was lower than i thought" of course he was laughing when  he found out my mom did it. he was happy to see her smiling i think. her bloodwork the other day was good and her weight evened out. (three weeks ago she was 114 with the water and she lost 14 lbs in two weeks and now she is under a 100. so if her bloodwork comes out good today then she wont  have to go back for a month. she asked about a liver transplant and the doctor said that she was too healthy for a transplant right now and that is a good thing. so while my mom is bad off really she is doing good. i think that is gonna relieve my stress somewhat. now if only we can get her sleeping and not in pain that would be great.

That is GREAT news!  If you have a contact number for the doctor, call and ask if she can have melatonin.  It's an over-the-counter product in 1 mg, 3 mg, and 5 mg tablets.  I take the 3 mg, but am a bit heavier than your mom.  Is she very short?  I'm just under 5 ft. myself.  Anyway, this sleep aid is a natural hormone and not a drug.  I've found it to be very helpful in getting a better sleep.  My primary care doctor recommended it to me, as she won't prescribe sleeping pills.

She seems to be a little underweight.  Is 100 lbs. normal for her?
