Been so long since I posted or read any posts. My bad !!!! Anyways, I was on a I am going to everything and more before June (when I start treatment for Hep) just in case I was one of those who did not tolerate it well. Needless to say, 2 weeks ago, I ended up in the hospital..worn out, depression, anxiety, very high fever, bacterial infection,WBC's off the charts, ammonia levels in the 70's and last but not least FULL OF SHI...............T! So much that they thought they were going to have to do surgery but got lucky there. Just slammed me full of suppositories, lactalose, and laxative pills. I got SUPER migraines while I was here and hey were shooting me up with dilatin which did not even touch the pain , in fact made them worse. I had family from everywhere call and they thought I HAD THE SWINE FLU because it was at the time when they first diagnosed he swine flu pandemic.
Anyways, have missed you guys alot. When I got home from hospital, I read my journal and the couple of days before I ended up in hospital, I do not remember and I wrote as m last entry....."love ME, love God, love friends..BYE BYE !"Pretty scary entry..(at least I thought)Finally get to see my psych this afternoon for the first time since all this. Hopefully I can try to catch up on everybody. Hopefully everyone is hanging in there and doing OK but I just wanted to check in and say hi ! I am still here !!!

Hi, Karen!  Been there, done that--trying to do too much when I'm feeling good and end up paying for it big-time, though not in the hospital.  Glad you are doing better now.  Don't be such a stranger!

Just too tired.........My work has me commuting over 2 hours a day and it's about to knock me on my keester. I'm finding out that that maybe I am just too old to do the o'l commute thing.

Anyways glad that you are out of the hospital and feeling better..... Take care.........thoughts and prayers.

Hi everyone, I am a newby here and have a question. My sister had surgery to remove her gallbaladder a few years ago and the doc accidentally severed her liver duct, needless to say she has a lot of problems now with it clogging up on her. This time around they have refused her any treatment at the ER where this event happened so I have been checking out natural ways for her to go. So far we are slowly getting there but she is detoxing really bad and is itching very very badly, has anyone got any solutions about how to help her on this. Thanks in advance

Hi, Honeydew.  If you will start a new topic, you will probably get more replies.

There is a thread on itching on here somewhere.  Do a search for it.  Also, is she detoxing from alcohol?  If so, and she is having a hard time, she may need to go to an alcohol detox facility.  Sorry, but you weren't too clear on this.

Welcome back Karen.

Sorry to hear that you have been so ill. Glad you are back home and things are going better. It is hard not to over do when you are feeling well. Things get so piled up when the fatigue hits that nothing gets done. Hope you are back to the good side soon and keep us posted.

Hi Honeydew

Just wanted to add my welcome to the forum. Itching seems to be a normal part of liver disease but there are things people hear have tried that seem to make it more tolerable. As Connie said there is a past thread on it so you might get some ideas of things others have tried that have worked or not worked for them. Again welcome.
