I don't know how many people here might be eligible for this, but if you or your loved one has lost a job since Jan. and also lost insurance, Pfizer has just come out with a new program whereby they will give meds free to anyone who qualifies and has been taking the drugs for 3 mos. or more.
"To sign up, patients can call a toll free number (1-866-706-2400) to sign up.  Starting July 1, patients can apply through the web site:
Applications will be accepted through Dec. 31st, 2009.  Meds will be provided for up to 12 mos. or until the person becomes insured again.
Applicants will have to sign a statement that they are suffering financial hardship and provide a "pink slip" or similar employer notice.
Patients whose drugs are not included in the program will be referred to other Pfizer aid programs."
And, of course, there are also the various pharmaceutical companies' "indigent drug program."
"But that was yesterday, and I was a different person then."
