What else can go wrong? My husband found a lump in his breast, went to Dr.,he ordered an ultra sound and now they say its a solid mass and he needs a biopsy. Possible breast cancer. I checked  out about male breast cancer and found that[in males] its probably from liver disease and excessive drinking.
Does anybody know anyone that had this, due to the above reasons ?
Take care,
DeeDee

I'm sorry to hear this, DeeDee.  I know that male breast cancer is much more rare than in females, but didn't know it could be attributed to liver disease and excessive alcohol intake.  My thoughts will be with you both for the biopsy.

Hugs,

Connie

hi worriedgirl,carlismineforever and Connie,

My husband isnt on any medication that would cause the lump, they did ask about new meds, but he isnt on anything new. He felt the lump a couple of weeks ago and is getting bigger and bigger.

Thanks for the prayers,

DeeDee

Carlismine...you are thinking of furosemide, which is the generic for Lasix.  I take both Lasix and Aldactone.  Lasix is a stronger diuretic than Aldactone, but the Aldactone prevents the loss of potassium that the use of Lasix alone can cause.  Was he also prescribed potassium tablets to go with the Lasix?  If not, be sure to watch his potassium levels.

DeeDee, we will anxiously be awaiting results of the biopsy and praying for good news.

Hugs,

Connie
