Just wanted to let everyone know that my husband passed on Sat. after a very long battle with liver disease. We had him home the last 3 weeks with hospice. He fought till the bitter end.He said he wasn't giving up without a fight and he meant it. Hospice was wonderful and they took right over afterwards. A little numb now even though I knew this would happen. I don't know what to do with myself not having to take care of someone 24/7.I will miss him terribly, but I am so relieved he is not suffering from this horrible disease anymore. It affected our lives in so many ways.He was only 59,way to young . To all of you out there dealing with this disease, don't give up. For the patients, please let your caregiver know that you love them and appreciate all that they do.That is all we need to get by the tough times. To the caregivers, dont give up ,talk to someone, seek help , get some me time, and stay informed. I know I am a fine one to be saying all of this, but i have learned alot through this whole process. Especially how strong I really am. Thank you all for all of your thoughts and prayers, and good luck to each and everyone of you. May God Bless You, Mimi

Oh (((Mimi))), I am so sorry. I know how lost you feel. It's now time to concentrate on you. If hospice has bereavement classes I encourage you to tend a session in a few months . 6 months later I thought I was fine......but I was not. They taught me how to deal with grief. And like here......how wonderful it is to talk with others who understand.........same them applies to dealing with grief.

And please come back here when you are ready........You are still a part of our family.

Please take care of yourself............lot's of thoughts and prayers and hugs............

Mimi, I am so sorry.  Please do come back here when you feel able to.  You have so much to give to others through your experience.

There are not any words I can say to make you feel better. Try not to cover up how you feel, cry when needed, scream if you want, laugh or smile when you talk about the good times ,stay close with your family and friends. It wont be easy  you will never forget but in time it gets easier.

Unfortunately I have lost several very close family members including a child so I know how you feel. My heart goes out to you and I'm truely sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

With sincere sympathy,

DeeDee
