Worried girl, I think that feeling is quite normal after losing someone. I had lost my husband to liver disease over two years before my brother came down to live. That feeling came right back. But I knew my brother was going to die because he had too many other things going wrong.......so I did everything that I could for him including making sure that I went to see him everyday after work and all my days off 2-3 times a day. We had long conversations and laughed like we were kids again. The rest of my family couldn't understand my actions ..........they thought that I had went off the deep end.
Maybe I did ...maybe I didn't......but I have no regrets and I know my brother knew how much I loved him.

Take care.....thoughts and prayers..........

Dear worried girl,

Stop thinking about what can happen and enjoy today with your Mom and other family . Everybody dies from something some day but when ,only God knows. I do know how you feel, since I lost both parents, grandparents and my son who was only 22 from another horrible disease. When I lost my son I thought I couldn't go on and I really didn't want to, but here I am. I can tell you it gets easier, how long it will take I can't answer that. I talk alot about my son and I feel he is with me and he is at peace.

Please stop thinking about tomorrow and live and love for today,Nobody knows what tomorrow brings.

Take care my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family,

Dee Dee

Worriedgirl, remember I was diagnosed with Hep C in '93 (had it since the 60s) and I'm still here--even beating liver cancer.  So no--it's NOT an automatic death sentence.  I don't even let it bother me, but just live each day the best I can and cherish the time I have.

Hugs,

Connie
