Hello Everyone, Just sitting here and thought I would check in. Lots of new people and still recognize some old. I didnt see any posts from John in CT?? I hope everyone is doing the best they can, I have missed these post but I was having a more difficult time than I thought I would so I kind of shut off from things. Brushing off my knees now and picking my butt up.....off the ground. My Grandson is taking things really bad so nana needs to set an example.

It's really good to see you posting again, Sue.  Sadly, we haven't heard from John in a very long time.  cry    Rick seems to have picked up where John left off with the humor.  We have many new members, but are always glad to see the old.

Hugs,

Connie

Connie,
I have kind of missed reading the posts here it was alot of help for me when I needed it. I will admit it was even harder after Doug passed as I felt so lost, not just finding myself alone but nothing to do and not knowing what to do I never realized how much time and energy went into his care. I loved him so much my whole life was giving him the best and making sure every Doctor nurse etc did the same and then all of a sudden... nothing and there is no after care for us caregivers. I then got involved in being a driver for a work friend to her radiation in Boston and setting up a care program for an elderly woman....I think I was just trying to fill a void but I did help some people so that was good. Life does go on and I know this from when I lost my first husband..... guess I am a survivor.
I hope along the way here I can help some people too

Sue, I'm sure that PG can relate.  Also, that your experiences can be of great help to many here who are traveling the same road you did.

Hugs,

Connie
