Hi all..
A newbie here.
Funny thing really... I have never done drugs, never been a drinker I think I had a glass of red wine about 4 years ago and before that I can't remember. I was just diagnosed with stage 2 Primary Billiary cirrhosis, go figure! It does not run in my family and I test negative for any Hep. They said "Strongly positive AMA" AST and ALT levels high they also say "Advanced fibrosis" and "low iron saturation". Just really learning about this and I thought what better place to be then with folks that have what I have. Another funny thing is about 15 years ago I was denied life insurance after a blood test, after grinding them down they finally told me they can't insure people with Hepatitis C. So I went to the doctor and got tested, NO Hep C but I had elevated liver levels. I blew it off and now 15 years later I guess I finally have to deal with it. From some of the things I read it looks like I have a long road to travel...confused

I know that hear is a good place to learn alot your disease. The people here have helped me alot. More than my doctors have. Will keep you in my prayers.

Hi Sad Grandma
I'm doing fine.
I picked up a nasty Staph infection under my arm, right smack in the middle of my arm pit. It's healing quickly though.I have a great Primary care physician and he started my on antibiotics right away. I just thank God it was not one of those huge nightmarish things that I have seen in some pictures. How are you doing? I hope good.

I forgot to ask. Does anybody know how to change your personal setting? all mine seam to be turned off.

Marco, click on your name that's in purple on the left-hand side.  That will take you to your profile.   Click on Control Panel on the upper left (it's in white on a blue background( and then you can change anything you like.

Hey Marc,

I hope under your arm is better. Those staph infections are not good to have.

I have good days and bad. Right now its alright.

Thats good you have a good PCP. I scare mine. He freaks everytime i go to his office. Am looking for new one that insurance will cover.

Have to keep positive attitude. I pray alot.

Take care and do what doctor told you.

SG, you might want to look for an Internal Medicine doc who is also a primary care physician.  Their knowledge base is larger than a regular family physician.
