Frank's dentist asked him to rinse with salt water for a small cut that he has. Will that add sodium to his system? We're so careful about sodium intake, we don't want to mess things up!

I'm just guessing here, but I would think that in the short time the rinse would be in his mouth, its absorption through his mucus membranes would be negligible.  However, if you really have concerns you should speak to his doctor or the doctor's PA or nurse.

Good point about the amount of time that the solutuion will be in his mouth.

Amazing how ridiculously obsessive we can become about these things!

We decided that since his cut was so minor and is better already, we'll just let it heal the way that it is.

(don't I feel silly now!)

May all our worries be this minor!

There is nothing wrong with healthy fears.  Better to be on the safe side, always.
