Hello everyone, hope everyone is doing fine. I would like to tell you about a dream I had last night. And I haven't told anyone else about it for fear of people thinking it is crazy of me or something. I don't remember how it started but I can remember going to the dr with Mike. He went to see the gastro??? dr. I remember sitting in the exam room talking to the dr and he tells us that Mike could probably get a liver transplant and everything so I ask him what about the hep c? wouldn't that put his score low on the list? In my dream he looked at me and said "What hep c?" I told him that was why we were there because of his hep c and cirrohsis. In my dream he looked at Mike and told him as solemn as he could that he did not find any hep c in any of the tests he ran. And wanted to know who had told him he had hep c. We told him who had informed him and about the hospital saying he had it and everything and he laughed and told us that he would retest but it showed negative on his tests.
Well today we went to the dr. about Mike's ultrasound he had 2 weeks ago. Believe it or not but the dream I just wrote about was actually what happened. I could not believe it I was so afraid to tell Mike because he already thinks I am nuts because I stayed with him after finding out all his problems. But isn't that what love and marriage is all about? Isn't that why you say "in sickness and in health". Anyway I just wanted to let yall know that there is some hope out there. The dr said he still had cirrohsis but was probably from all the drinking he used to do but he would retest to make sure about the hep c.

I wish everyone happiness and you are in our prayers.

Joyce

Wow, I think that is great news. No HepC!!! WHOOOHOOO. And don't think you are crazy. God works in mysterious ways. Maybe it was his way of preparing you for the good news ahead of time.

Thoughts and prayers........

I also took the liberty giving your post a title.....Hope you don't mind.

Joyce, Rick actually had that happen recently, too!  Good for Mike!  I wish that were the case with me, but I definitely do have hep C and know just how I got it.  Anyway, Mike still shouldn't drink.  I hope that he doesn't think that it is now okay.

Hugs,

Connie

Thanks for the title, I couldn't think of one at the time.  No, Mike still doesn't drink.  I think he is afraid to believe what the dr said about the hep c.  He still isn't any better, the fluid is back and making it hard for him to breath again but that is normal around here.  He just keeps putting off going in the hospital.  His mind is still not completely right after 2 weeks but he is better than he was.  I read him the posts from here and he seems to get a little comfort from them.  His neice and nephew and their kids are suppose to be coming down from IL here in the next week or so.   They haven't seen him since he has gotten bad so I think it will do him good to see them.  They ask me for pictures of him at Christmas so I sent them and his neice called back crying.  I keep in touch with his mom letting her know how he is and what the drs say.  She wants to see him but I don't think he could make the trip up there.  She can't come here because she takes care of her mom and his dad is in a nursing home up there.  So maybe some of his family coming to see him will make him feel better at least.
Thoughts and prayers
