I have read for year the importance of drinking enough H20 - now it's even more important.

I drink milk, diet orange and coffee - keep trying to get plain water down, but even hate the bottled stuff. Need to change this I'm sure.

Any thoughts or products that could help flavor /sweeten the liquid without causing problems? So many different products ----

Thanks everyone - have not found any real info on sucrose verses fructose verses honey -----

Have started to grow Stevia for a natural sweetener without chemical processing.

well - time to get outside!

Shebug, are you retaining water?  If so, you would not want to be drinking 1/2 gal. a day.  The point is to stay hydrated, not overdose on the stuff.  I used to NEVER drink water--couldn't stand the stuff.  After my bout with liver cancer, my palate changed and I found that I loved spring water.  I try to keep a bottle of it with me at all times.  The tap water where I live has a ton of minerals and corrodes everything; thus, the spring water.  I also like the taste.  I've read that purified or distilled water is best for liver patients, but I don't like the taste.  You might try a squeeze of fresh lemon in water, or some of the "diet" flavored waters.  An answer for you might also be homemade lemonade sweetened with stevia.

Hugs,

Connie

Try different types of bottled water, or buy an inexpensive water filter and make your own. Connie's idea of adding lemon is good, or you could use other fruit juices. I drink one part cranberry juice, cut with three parts water. If you try water, eventually it'll grow on you. Give it a try. **David**

Mmmmmm - Cranberry!

No retention yet I believe - but wish to start having better stuff going in. Also, I'm starting a bran fiber supplement, so 2 quart's overall fluid isn't bad.

Gotta have it cold -

Thank you both - I bought a Stevia plant today at the Herb Festival!

Best Fishes ! :)

Lots of fresh fruit and veggies will be loved by your liver.  Low salt.  Minimal or no beef.  As few processed foods as possible.
