Shebug, are you retaining water? If so, you would not want to be drinking 1/2 gal. a day. The point is to stay hydrated, not overdose on the stuff. I used to NEVER drink water--couldn't stand the stuff. After my bout with liver cancer, my palate changed and I found that I loved spring water. I try to keep a bottle of it with me at all times. The tap water where I live has a ton of minerals and corrodes everything; thus, the spring water. I also like the taste. I've read that purified or distilled water is best for liver patients, but I don't like the taste. You might try a squeeze of fresh lemon in water, or some of the "diet" flavored waters. An answer for you might also be homemade lemonade sweetened with stevia.
