Hi Everyone,
I am new to this site, I am not sure if i have hepatitis but my doctor seems to think i do. I have had crohns disease now for 17 years and for the past 2 years my liver function blood tests have always been high, but just recently i was rushed to the ER with severe pain on my right side that went all the way up to my shoulder blade, some blood tests were done and my liver was elevated to the point the doctors paniced, i have since undergone a series of tests including ct scan, xrays and a hida scan, the docs originally thought perhaps it was my gall bladder but that showed clear so now the surgeon is convinced its hepatitis and has ordered blood tests again to see if they have improved at all. I am in a panic over it cause i really dont know what to expect, i have been so tired all the time and have been told to drink heaps of water and a well balanced diet, which is hard to maintain with the crohns disease. Is it normally an accurate diagnosis with blood tests? What kind of hepatitis would i be looking at if its in the liver? I dont drink alcohol but used to enjoy the occasional social drink, but dont even do that anymore. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for listening everyone.
