Hi Everyone:

I am HCV patient, my physician has prescribed Sovaldi but unfortunately it is not available in India. Can anyone help me getting the details of distributor from where I can import the drugs as patient name basis.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your comment. We searched all over India and didn't find this drug in the market. Even physicians are not aware about the availability of this drug in India.

Appreciate your help.

Indian Members: Most who take Sovaldi take it with another drug and the newest drugs available, while in one pill, are a combo of Ledipsavir and Sovaldi in one tablet...so I am confused. Will you take the Sovaldi WITH Ribavirin which IS available there?

I see in the press in recent days that more and more countries are negotiating with Gilead to get life saving medicines available locally.

Best to you both,

Mama Lama

Following treatment protocol is used in India:

Genotype 1 or 4: Sovaldi 400 mg + ribavirin and peg IFN for 12 weeks; drs may consider sofosbuvir plus ribavirin for 24 weeks in genotype 1 patients ineligible to receive peg-interferon-based regimen

Genotype 2: Sovaldi 400 mg plus riba for 12 weeks
Genotype 3: Sovaldi 400 mg plus riba for 24 weeks

So far Sofosbuvir, Simeprevir or Daklinza is not launched formally but being imported by patients as Patient Name Basis (which is a very simple process of import).

Foregin patients may get Sovaldi in India, they need a prescription from local physician. After discussing with few traders I imported Sovaldi from ACT Life Sciences which is in Mumbai. They regularly import Sovaldi for HCV patients.

Hello:

For getting prescription from a local physician, patient need to consult the physician. If physician prescribes Sovaldi then on the basis of Rx import permit is issued by Indian FDA. in my case ACT Life Sciences (Mumbai) helped in procuring the licences and getting the drug imported for me. Entire process was quite simple and hessle free as they provided the service of procuring import licence and clearing the drug from customs for me. In India Sovaldi 400mg (pack of 28 tablet) cost $ 21500. This included all expenses (freight, Insurance etc). I would suggest you get in contact with them they will certainly be able to help you.

Hello DAD2014,

I need your help in procuring Sovaldi in India. I see your post that you got this medicine through ACT Life Sciences (Mumbai).

To my surprise, I couldn't find any website or information about this supplier on the internet. Can you please give me more pointers for contacting them. This helps a lot for my father and our family.

Thanks
KN

Hi myself john,

Previously I was also searching for this medicine and finally I found one online pharmacy shop who is selling more than 200 medicines for different problems. Beginning I was afraid to buy from this website because I read so many bad reviews about online pharmacy shops. At the beginning, I have purchased small number of modafinil pills (30 pills) to test their site. They approved my order in 48 hours and the payment option also secured. I didn’t give any of payment information’s , they have sent the invoice and I paid it which is 200% secured and no need to afraid about scam here. Finally they delivered my products in 12 working days with some extra pills. I got 40 pills with 10 free pills. Since that day to till now, I have ordered more than 10 times from this store and still they are delivering it in professional way. Recently they have launched new products that I saw in their website last time. So still you can try that if you want.

Siram,

Welcome to the Hepatitis forum on Healing Well.

Sovaldi is taken WITH another med, not alone. What has your doctor prescribed? Did you get that locally?

Good luck. I hope that you are successful clearing your Hep C.

As you are aware that hepatitis C drugs (ledipasvir / Sofosb) are very expensive in Mexico. One of the non-governmental organization in India helps patients access to these drugs for free. Obviously, not all patients quality thereof. Those interested can send the NGO for details and how to access these drugs for free.
