I set tile and stone. As a carpenter I'm not great, but have been tiling for 45 years. Still like it.

Nice to hear from you Barry. My "work" is as a stay at home mom and with two teenage girls I so know what being beat up is. With no mercy for days that I feel lousy. I get it, they want the security of mom doing it all to offset fear of my cancer returning and taking me out. Harvoni side effects not even on their radar - not much is beyond their own ego I guess. Necessary and appropriate developmental stage, just hard to endure. I would far prefer to build petrochemical plants!

Slugging through the sides, some days better than others. Fresh ginger drink, made with honey and lemon or lime in a vita-mix, really helps with the nausea. Happy I don't have headaches. Really just happy to be alive, didnt look like I would be last August...

What kind of cancer did you beat twice? I know, it's a hepatitus forum....

Thanks for the upbeat holiday greeting, Barry. I have baked, shopped and wrapped this week. Tomorrow I mail gifts to all of our out of state family. (They ALL are out of state)

Themister and I decorated inside and out this year. So far, no medical crisis for us. We are enjoying this holiday season and wish you and yours the same. Big Hugs

I will be thinking of you on the 7th, Barry. I know you may be nervous. I was. It was wonderful seeing undetectable after three months.

Please let us know as soon as you can. We will be here for you.
Hugs

mitzi22 Thank you for the hug and your right it is a bit scary, but I have a strong mind set and shake off those thoughts. As I hope others in the same situation will do,to me a positive mind set is the best . Life likes to shake us up,slap us without warning.. but maybe its just to make you stronger as a person? As a student of that proverbial school of hard knocks I don,t dwell long on past troubles but look forward to the future with a smile and feel there is always a solution to anything its just a matter of finding it!! Have a great day all!!!

I am going to stay in the forum and try to help anyone I can get through this terrible little devil. I am old school and believe that just because you have beaten a adversary that does not relieve you of a moral responsibility to help others being attacked by it. I do not think anyone should have to go through what we have and if I can prevent any pain or suffering I feel it's my duty and moral conviction to do so.Maybe these kind of values are considered non existent in today's world but they are not! Okay enough of my serious side!, I hope everyone is doing well !,

thought of the day..I will follow the upward road today; I will keep my face to the light. I will think high thoughts as I go my way; I will do what I know is right. I will look for the flowers by the side of the road; I will laugh and love and be strong. I will try to lighten another’s load this day as I fare along.

Hi Barry, so happy for you. It is such a Blessing,
I remember exactly what it felt like to finally "Slay the Beast" back in March 2014. I completed a 24 week tx. of Telaprevir, Interferon and Ribavirin.

Your thought of the day reminds of a lighthearted moment...
My daughter has threatened to buy me a couple of t-shirts with the following quotes:

"I followed the road less traveled...
and now I don't know where I am"

"I know I live in my own world...
But they like me here"

Again, great news to hear
