Hi everyone,

My neice has hep c.  I am clueless as to how she feels with her symptoms.  I am helping her with some other issues right now and bringing the hep c into the picture is not a good idea at this time.

The only thing she has shared with me is that she is tired all the time.

An inquiring mind wants to know.

If there is a CURE for Cystic Fibrosis this very moment and this is "not soon enough"...you would hear this twins mom "Across America" "YESSSSSSSSSS"!!.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!  I was diagnosed in 1993, per biopsy, with chronic active hepatitis C.  The only symptom I've ever had, aside from elevated liver enzymes, is fatigue--severe enough that I did not work full time after 1993.  The fatigue has gotten much worse since the finding of liver cancer about 4 1/2 months ago, and I sleep a lot.  I also now have some bloating.

Here is an excellent site for hepatitis information:

Your niece should be seeing a gastroenterologist or, better yet, a hepatologist, if she is not already, to discuss treatment options.

Hi Hep93,

Thank you for your info and input. I'm sorry to hear about your liver cancer as well hep c.

I know that my neice is seeing someone for her hep c condition, but, not sure of what kind of doc. Her other issues at hand takes more presidence (sp?).

I just wanna mention also...my twins have cystic fibrosis and have elevated liver enzymes. The docs have told me that it's possible that they could develop hep c in the future. I was so saddened by this. It's not like they don't have enough going on in their lives. Perhaps this is another reason why I wanna seek info before the issue is at hand, so, as a mom, I am better prepared. I have always been a step ahead in learning about my boys condition and always will be.
