My sister is currently in a severe relapse of Wegener's Granulomatosis.  She has been in hospital for 5 weeks, (4 weeks in Intensive Care on a respirator).  Her lungs are badly damaged and her kidney function is very low.  She is unable to walk without a walking frame and oxygen, though things are very gradually improving.
Has anyone on the forum experienced this amount of damage? Can you reply and put my mind at rest that she will recover and live a normal life.  She is 55.

I have Autoimmune Hepatitis but medication seems to have it under control.
My mother had Crohnes disease.
