help! I was reading through the internet when i came across this article where they say the HBV can survive outside the body for about 30 days. So my question is, does the virus maintain its infectious state during this 30 days? Example, on the 20th day, can it still be infected to another body?

Hi, nOOble, and welcome to the forum. What site made this claim? I would only go to recognized sites, such as the American Liver Foundation, for info. Better still, go to a hepatologist, especially if you are a carrier. However, from what you posted, if the virus does survive for 30 days outside the body, it certainly follows that it would be infectious. We have a few people on this forum who have hep B, or are caretakers for those with HBV. Perhaps they can give you some more definitive answers.

I recommend you see a physician and get tested.
