Hello everyone...I hope you are all doing as well as can be expected under each one's circumstances. I haven't had the chance to read or post much these days. I've been busy at work and finally trying to take care of myself for a change. Robert as you may or may not remember was diagnosed with end stage liver disease/cirrhosis and has been placed on the transplant list through Mayo Clinic in November 2006. His MELD score is not high enough to get transplanted immediately but at least he's on the list if anything were to happen in the future. The good news is that Robert is doing well these days. He's not skinny minnie anymore, he's picked up some weight, his color is looking great and he seems to have a bit more energy these days. He still continues to struggle with good and bad days. We'll be headed to Mayo Clinic in Arizona end of February for a few days so the doc's over there can run routine tests on Robert and make sure he's doing alright and to screen him for cancer. As always, tests make me worried because just when you think things are okay, wham, you get hit with something else. I'm hoping that's not the case with Robert.
I don't get a chance to read and post very often but I do continue to keep everyone on this forum in my thoughts and prayers. I know how important it is to have support when you really need it and you guys have been here 100%. I know we all have our problems that we have to deal with and just having support makes things better even in a bad situation. Take care and I'll try to read and post when I can.....
