Hi sparkydon.

I too had a biopsy through the jugular. I was petrified but it wasn't as bad as I thought.

I take CellCept for autoimmune hepatitis. I have been on it for more than twelve months now and I am certainly improved. It replaced Imuran, which was not working as my heptologist thought it would. Unfortunately I still take Prednisone. (down to 9mg per day) but the taper has to be slow as twice when I have reached 10mg per day I have gone into a relapse.

I've had no side effects from CellCept. Prednisone has caused weight gain and depression. (after the initial hyperactivity).

Good luck with the biopsy and CellCept. Let us know how things go.
