Hey guys. I've been really concerned about my liver the past few months. Have had a lot of fatigue, and pale brown poop. Have also had tender muscles and easy bruising on and off. Also, shortness of breath upon exertion.

My first liver panel on 5- 15

BILI total - 1.6

BILI direct - 0.2

My liver panel as of 5- 25

BILI total - 1.25

Protein - 8.1

Being most of you guys are probably pretty knowledgeable about these levels, Would the levels behave this way with alcoholic liver disease or cirrhosis ? Can they behave this way? I know I've drank enough to have cirrhosis,
my internist doesn't seem to be worried though.

I have lost about 60 pounds in the past few months, which I've read can cause your liver to go fatty, although in my case, I guess it would have gone fattier. Also was on paxil and aciphex prior to the first panel. I stopped these about a week before the first blood test.

Any thoughts?

Everything that you have posted looks pretty good.  Normal ranges can vary from lab to lab, though.  Your ALT is mildly elevated, but not enough to raise any flags.  There are some other blood tests that can help determine if your liver is not functioning normally (ALP, GGTP, PT, etc.)  For most patients with cirrhosis AST levels are greater than ALT levels.  If your doc is not worried then there is probably no need for you to be worried either.  Hope all is well
