Hi all, just wanted to let you all know I will be a little bit more active on here for the summer. I just finished my last finals paper and I am only going to be part time this summer, one class online and one on tues and thurs nights.  Rick is not doing well at all,,,,,his heart injection fraction rate dropped from 42 percent to 24 percent in just a few months.  They are putting in a pacemaker to shock his heart if it fails him on the 22nd of this month.  Not good,,,,,,see yall around.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body used up ,totally worn out and screaming"WOOOOHOO WHAT A RIDE!!!"
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here, we might as well dance:)

Trish, I know you are glad to be done with this semester and have a light load for summer. I'm sorry to hear that Rick is doing poorly. BTW, it's ejection fraction. ;)

Keep us posted!

Hugs,
Connie

Trish

Am glad that your schedule will be slowing down some. I know you have felt like you having been burning the candle at both ends.

So sorry to hear that Rick isn't doing well. Will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Trish,

Glad you'll have a little time for yourself after such a busy term.  i know how you must feel.  I'm still in the busy mode.  Half year exams are on at schoool at present, followed by marking (I have 10 junior classes - about 28 in each) and report writing - all before the end of term which is June 29.

Hope Rick has some improvement after the pacemaker insertion.  You have both had a hard time and you certainly deserve better.

Looking forward to more regular postings, both from you and me.

Take care.

Marg

Thanks all, I am glad for a little bit of relief for a while, though I absolutely love school,,,,,,, its my escape from reality I think, and though I am 40 now, I feel like a sponge, absorbing everything:) lol
Rick didnt take the news well last week, and he was no easy to deal with, I think he feels like his life is ending and mine is going forward,,,,,,,,which is what EVERYONE is supposed to do every day,but he resents me for it. Hes a little better this week,so we will see. take care all

Trish, my thoughts and prayers will be with both you and Rick. Your comment about his thinking his life was ending while yours was going forward was like dejavue for me. I felt my husband was resenting me at the end for the same reason. It was hard to deal with. He was hard to deal with. And it still bothers me sometimes that he felt that way. They just don't realize how much that you are doing for them and how much it is taking out of you. Hang in there, as I know that you will. All of us caregivers find different ways to cope. If we didn't we surely would belong in the funny farm. Have a great summer. Love Pink Grandma
