When I found out I had chronic Hep B six months ago I made a conscious effort to stop drinking (although I almost never did anyway) and stop taking unecessary meds (tylenol, birth control etc.). Now that I'm in a serious relationship I'm debating whether to get back on the pill and am wondering if there are any negative affects on the liver? Prior to my diagnosis I had been on the pill for 13yrs with no problems. Getting off was a personal decision rather than advise from my hepatologist. Any ideas?

This is something for you to ask your hepatologist about. If you decide against "the pill," there's always the diaphragm, condoms, and other forms of birth control.
