Just thought I'd let the regulars know I'm doing well. My last blood tests were good; almost everything normal or close to normal. Both GP and heptologist are pleased with everything.
My Prednisone dose remains the same despite the good blood work. My heptologist is very cautious. I flared the last time I got to 7.5mg so he is wary of going down that last 0.5mg too soon. I've been on 8 for 3 months but he wants another six months before we go to 7.5. I'm still taking CellCept, which I was not taking when I reached 7.5 last time. I was on Imuran and Pred at that time. Hope the CellCept / Pred combination allows further reduction to continue.
I was disappointed but he reminded me of the success I have had. Decompensated liver failure in May 2004 and I am leading a veryfull life at the moment. Perhaps too full.
My grand daughter is growing up. She had just turned one and is taking those first faltering steps. she brings such joy to our lives. I can't imagine life without her now.
My husband continues to enjoy retirement. He is so good. He does almost all the housework and helps often with cooking. While I work 4 days a week he is the house husband - and daddy day care - he minds Leila one day a week. I'm still not ready to make the big step and retire. I've just turned 59. The planning for the new school year is currently underway and I am working again 4 days each week. Remember I am in Australia and our school year commences late January.
School has been very busy which is why I have found little time to visit. I am hoping I will again become a regular contributer to posts and this Forum and hope I can once again give support to those who are in need, as other supported me in times of need.
Take care everyone. I think of you often.
