Shelly I just want to thank you for your recent post about the liver. It's going to be one that I will bump for the newbies occasionally. It is wonderful that we have another heathcare professional with us to help us along the way. Many doctors are way too busy to really educate their patients and we need to find other avenues for the education. If I knew at the beginning of my husband's diagnosis what I know now there may have been a different outcome for him. Knowledge is a powerful tool in life. And the internet is a great place to get it. Thanks again and take care.

Pink Grandma, Thank you. I don't profess to know much but what little I do know I want to share. You are right, being educated about a disease or process makes it so much easier to ask appropriate questions. I can attest to the fact that some Dr's do not want to be questioned. My belief is "TOO BAD". We have a right to know and we have a right to ask questions. To follow blindly only encourages that type of behavior. If we can understand what our organs are supposed to do when they are well than we surely will know what they are not supposed to do.
