Hello All,
Just wanted to update on what's going on with my manchild Will. First, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We did! A very emotional reunion with alot of family! It was a great weekend tho! Will, goes to Shand's in Gainesville on Dec. 7th for some testing. We have been told we should find out if he will get on the transplant list or not. Actually hoping NOT as that would mean this medication he is on now is working in his favor! However, he has lost about 10 lbs in about 2-3weeks he was only 160lbs at 6ft. so he can't afford to loose anymore. He has also been very tired latley! I know stress is taking a toll on us both. Anyone have suggestions on how to gain weight? His eating habits have been pretty good. I have told him he needs to rest as much as he can but, try telling that to a 21 yr. old that wants to enjoy life and hang with his buds. He is so not ready to stop!!! I guess if it were me and I had this death sentence I would do everything I could too! We have now applied for SSI and Medicaid for the 3rd time so far so good, They are sending idiot forms to us that we haven't gotten before. So maybe this time it will go threw. I will drop a few lines as soon as we get more news. Pink Grandma, I got your message on someone else's post Thank you for your thoughtfulness and prayers! HUGGS AND SMOOCHES TO ALL!!!

Hello Toni, So glad that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was okay. Thank you for your son's update.
Hopefully the 3rd time is a charm with Social Security.

It' a 2 edged sword with your son's wanting to do everything. Right now he needs to keep his liver healthy as possible. It's good for him to be active but he also needs his rest. He just has to learn to balance the two to his best advantage. He needs to eat liver healthy foods and maybe in a few more meals that are smaller in size. Lot's fresh fruits and veggies, and he should try and stay away from red meats as much as possible. (It too hard for the damaged liver to process.)

Give him my regards and take care of yourself.
Thoughts and prayers....
