So, are the anti-depressants actually helping your IBS? I know there are some other side effects from them that aren't fun to deal with (like weight gain), but anything that makes your bowels a tiny bit better is probably worth side effects.

Congratulations on becoming an aunt! They almost spelled her name right. :-D

the anitdepressants i was on a cuople of months helped but these ones hvae not done anythnig for me at all. i did hvae a few drinks and my family thnik i hvae been happier while not on thme althuogh i hvae been in a lot of pian. i am gonna try and see gp tomorrow if she is back. my bowels wake me up in the nigth and aslo in morning as i am in pian. i thnik the pian is wrose as well becuase of my hormones as i hvae been bleeding for over a monht now with no sign of it stoping. it is the pcos. it is well out of control at mo.

It's a shame you can't find someone who is reasonable and put you on birth control to help stop that. I know you have a blood pressure problem, but surely there is a BC method that doesn't cause blood pressure problems. I mean, what about that Nuva Ring thing? That's supposed to keep the hormones contained, for the most part, to the uterus and ovaries and put very little out into the rest of your body. Or maybe a non-BC hormone thearpy. There's all sorts of things they can compound.
