This question may violate the boundaries of good taste, but I really must know if anyone else ever has dreams about healthy, satisfying and normal bm's?

LOL, yeah I do. I have had dreams where I've gone through a flare-up(only to wake up at 2am because one was starting), and I have had them about being able to go out and not have to worry about where the bathrooms are located because *gasp* I was having perfectly normal ones. If people can be happy with dreams of being married to Brad Pitt. then I reserve the right to be just as thrilled with ones where I can use the loo without any kind of complications.

LOLOLOLOLOL ... I am subjected to such dreams on a weekly basis. Much to my delight when the dream involves something normal and healthy ... much to my horror when it indicates IT going the other way as the dreams seem to dictate just how it's going to be over the coming weeks. They are seldom wrong. It really does come to a sorry state of affairs doesn't it? LOL

LOL!

Well, I've had dreams where I was normal again OR didn't make it a bathroom or couldn't find one in a social setting. The usual stress inducers for me.....but that's about it.

Funny thread though......thanks for the Monday laugh!

I am IMMENSELY comforted to know I am not a FREAK.  Who else could I confess this sick little secret to except for my buddies here on the bad belly boards?  If I told my doc, he'd probably refer me to a shrink and we all know how much psychiatrists LOVE stories about poop (and DREAMS about poop would probably make them swoon)!

It is a sorry state of affairs though when you no longer dream about handsome stars sweeping you off your feet!  It must mean I no longer harbor fantasies about love and romance in my subconscious but rather the fantasy and thrill of a great BM!

Topic derail......

Hey here's an off shoot story for you gutastrophe - we got a Golden as a puppy, 1 year after my cancer and colon resection. She had the delightful habit of licking her rear end. Our Vet told me that Goldens can get impacted anal glands and that they were very uncomfortable. I was instructed to express these anal glands while giving her a shower. Oh sure, I was gonna do that.....I joked, crimeny my life revolves around rear ends! I tried that but she didn't like that one bit. Vet eventually talked me into having them removed so she had this extremely painful surgery. For 2 long weeks she whimpered in pain and I had to feed her out of my hand, b/c she couldn't bend over her food bowl. Yes I do baby this dog....LOL But I truly felt like I failed her. We never skipped her pain med dose and after 2 weeks she was much better. She no longer had that awful habit. Then a friend told me - you do realize that once the anal glands are removed, your dog can have accidents don't you? I said what? My Vet never told me that.....and naturally thought, oh sure, again, I am surrounded by anal issues! The good news is she never had accidents but I also felt tricked into this surgery. I told the Vet that also - explaining that I myself had surgery in that area of my body and it is hell to recover from. He just sighed and said there are many, many blood vessels in this area - humans and canines.

One more thing, she also has had a very nasty habit since we brought her home - if I don't keep the yard picked up, she tends to eat it. So sorry for that lovely detail but again, I think only I could end up with a dog like this! She especially loves rabbit poop......her favorite snack.

Okay back to human speak! LOL

Sometimes I do feel like my world revolves around these issues a bit too much and I joke - if I could only give up food! he he

I can't recall having bowel movement dreams, but I do dream about peeing sometimes. It never fails that when I do finally find a bathroom, I pee and pee and pee and still feel like I need to pee.

Funny enough, I will eventually wake up realizing that I need to pee in real life. Think maybe that's why I don't feel relief in my dreams?

Keria .... I have this exact same "pee" dream .... I go and go like Niagara falls, no relief ... only to wake up and find I need to go and that's why!

LOL @ the workings of the subconscious mind!
