yeah !!! If this helps even 1 person I'll be happy. I've had IBS -d for almost 12 years, started after childbirth, stress of raising kids? age? I'm not sure. I noticed it had been worse around "that" time of the month. As a science person I tried almost everything-5 HTP, calcium, lactaid, meditation (forget that!). Finally I tried the Digestrol--and noticed the pills were really not much more than digestive enzymes. So I tried GNC Super Digestive enzymes--1 after I eat anything but a snack-- and WOW, I can actually leave the house again!. I noticed a change within the first 2 days. I make sure I take at least 1 enzyme a day.I still have some occasions of IBS--but not anything like before. Give this a try, it may help. I remember searching the discussion boards for any clue that would help me, but I never remember reading about digestive enzymes. And, they were only about 6-10 dollars for a medium sized bottle.

Hey,I'm going to try the digestive enzymes you mentioned, can you suggest a good brand for me.I'm willing to take anything to build up a good and healthy digestive system I'm on Align a pro-biotic it's doing it's job but it takes time to build up the good bacteria the more you take it.I will be waiting on your reply and would like to see what you would suggest.

Hello!

The only ones I've ever tried are from GNC (the vitamin health food store) and they are simply labeled Super Digestive Enzymes It says "promotes protein, carbohydrate and fat digestion". This is my first bottle, and like I said I really noticed a difference. As a chem/bio person I tried a lot of different/natural things that didn't work, but I really did notice a difference with these, and very quickly. I am careful about not drinking too much coffee and still don't eat things like lettuce or drink wine the night before I might need to be places. Like the rest of the people on the site I know what its like to not be able to do a lot of things--hope this helps--let me know!
