In the past few days I have finally succeeded in getting appts with GI doctors. They are both sending me for a colonoscopy and EGD. One says it can be an ulcer, or simple constipation. The other specialist today feels it can be colonic inertia or even a narrowing of the colon.
I had a colostomy at birth and a burst bowel. I am 21 now. I am bipolar and since being put on medications my bowel habits have changed completely. This past December I started having terrible abdominal pain. I had an inconclusive barium enema, x rays, bloodwork, ultrasound, and CT scan. Now I'm finally getting somewhere.
The only thing that frustrates me is that my appt is September 3rd! Having been suffering since December that is very frustrating, but I am on the cancellation list.
I am concerned because its not getting any better and I am trying to determine what it could be....
This looks to be a supportive forum....
I can't wait to get an answer to my problem....
