I have constipation due to mobility problems.  I am currently taking Amitiza which has been excellent but even with that I need more help.  I did some reading and found how that magnesuim can act as a healthy laxative.  (Not in the truest form of laxative that you are thinking of over the counter laxatives).  Instead it is a healthier laxative making my stools soft and adding water to them.  Similiar to Amitiza and what Citrucel does.  Anyway, I find with amitiza and 800 mg of Magnesium a day I work better than before and with no side effects.  I do consume lots of water 8-11 glasses a day so I do not become dehydrated, if you are to think that.

I take 3 peoples of Ultimate Oil from Natures Herbs which is basically all your omega oils which is crucial for the healthy functioning of your intestines.  Dry or slightly dry intestines with mobility issues end up in constipation.
I found with Amitiza, Magnesium, Lots of Water and 3 pills of Ultimate Oil it really helps....

Jimmy, I think you will find that it is motility not mobility though they are pretty close in meaning. They do a motility study for gastro problems.

Could you tell me what are the symptons of a motility problem?  Do they include gas pain and what test is done to diagnose this problem.  I'm beginning to think this may be my problem.
