Has anyone taken Hyoscyamine to help with their gall bladder IBS problems? My doctor said he might start me on it in August.

Hi Korn,
If I remember correctly, I think Hyoscyamine inhibits the production of digestive fluids (i.e. acid). I don't recall hearing it used to help control gallbladder issues, but maybe it would make sense.
Hopefully someone will come by that can help you.

I was on it when my gall bladder was acting up; waste of money. Never stopped my gall bladder from spasming. And as the diarrhea from that problem is caused by bile, not spasming intestines, it didn't help the D either. If you have D post gall bladder, you need to be on Welchol or something in that bile sequestrant family. Welchol always works for me if I'm a bit careful with my diet.
