You know, that happens to me a lot... When I have a bout of D, I just might go a couple days without going. I think it's just because most of it is already out and there's nothing left.
It's sort of a vicious cycle... D then C, then D again, repeat. You might try keeping up with the fiber to see if your BMs regulate themselves. I take probiotics daily which definitely help in the regularity department.
