Hospitals usually have a payment plan they can work with you on. You should call them to discuss it.

You really shouldn't have to suffer like this due to financial issues. I am so sorry, jenny.

Lil is right about hospitals having payment plans. Depending on your income, they may even waive part of the cost (they can write it off as charity). Also, if you don't have insurance, do you qualify for state insurance? If you've already been diagnosed with a bad gall bladder then no other insurance company will pay for the surgery for at least a year (if ever) because it would be pre-existing.

I had mine out 5 years ago and total it was $12,000.

Jenny, I will keep you in my prayers. I think Keriamon is right about the pre-existing condition thing. Most insurances wont cover it because of that. Do you have a church that you go to? Sometimes churches collect donations from the congregation and give them to someone in need. Also, if you're a low income family you may be able to get help from the government. Hope you find something. I'm sorry that you've been sick for two months. That's awful. I will remember you in my prayers.
