Does anyone notice that fluoride (in toothpaste, primarily) worsens their IBS?
Med free for a bit as I needed a break from Asacol

I haven't made that connection, but it's an interstesting one. There's a growing backlash against flouride. I was just looking in a beauty book the other day that said they did not recommend flouride in toothpaste because of various studies showing problems with it, and that it only helped the teeth of 1 in 6 people. That's what this book said, at any rate; it wasn't a health book. I'd be interested in seeing if you turn up any information on flouride that might cause it to be linked to bowel problems.

Don't forget it is in the city water of most cities in the US. And Brita filters do not filer it out.
