It's difficult for me to respond to topics like this and not make polite suggestions. So I hope you don't mind one.... I remember reading on a now defunct medical website, on their colon cancer board, that women and even ~men~ were both wearing Stayfree thin Maxi overnight pads. They are very long and go way up in the back of your underwear. They are also very thin, so they're not bulky. It's just enough protection if you have a few drips. I have started to pass silent gas before but realized it was more than gas. If I had one of these maxi pads on, I didn't need to change my underwear. Only the pad.
I am now entering Menopause and having sporadic periods. But I still buy these maxi pads! I think I always will. My entire goal has been to not need Depends. But these maxi pads just give me extra confidence when things aren't well or on long car trips.
Not sure if it's a symptom or not. I ended up with IBS like symptoms because I've had rectal cancer, about all of my sigmoid removed, 15 inches of my colon removed and my gall bladder taken out. It's been going on for 9 years now........
