I'm coming in from the Migraine section of this forum where I have posted about atypical migraine, or "constant pressure in my head." I'm still trying to figure out if this symptom is related to digestive issues, and I suspect that it is (as they say, the gut is the "second nervous system") or something else. Anyway, let me describe the digestive symptoms:
All my life I've had constipation, but in the last couple years it has gotten much worse, to the point where I take one stool softener (docusate calcium) every day, or else I can't really go.
But that's only the tip of the iceberg. I have a feeling of pressure, things pulling and pushing, lots of spasms (especially 30 minutes after eating, or 30 minutes after a bowel movement), and sometimes pain, especially around the lower back.
I also have this "snapping" or "crackling" sensation going on down there. I have trouble sleeping on my side (either side) as it can get painful.
I also get spasms that spread to the rest of my body, sometimes.
The other thing I have is very unusual shapes to my stools when I'm able to go. Flattened, ribbon-like, twisted, curved, etc.
All in all, I'm getting a lot of weird symptoms and it seems the source is in my bowels, or digestive system. I also have a little trouble walking because of this "clogged feeling" in my lower back, my posture is screwed up, etc etc
Is this familar to anyone with bad IBS, severe constipation... or does this sound like another condition altogether?
