Is it possible to feel the ibs symptoms at all while resting at home. I rarely have diarreah and i deffinitely don't be constipated. I just have to use the bathroom just about everything i eat. I use to be able to go places but i had anxitey attacks when i'am in a car we have to pull over but when i am driving all i be is nervous if that. But i know something is wrong because once or twice i had to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.

Hi newman,
Have you been scoped yet? Usually nighttime bathroom trips are a "red flag" symptom - IBS doesn't usually wake you up at night to use the bathroom - so I would mention this to your doctor. It is not uncommon for people with IBS to have symptoms at seemingly random times, though, in addition to the typical bouts that occur during periods of high stress or anxiety.

You should...how long have these symptoms been going on like this? It could be the beginning of an IBD (crohn's or ulcerative colitis) or it could be IBS along with a bleeding hemheroid...best to get checked out rather than speculate...also, what's you diet like? Is it high in junky foods or do you have a fairly healthy diet (including drinking plenty of water daily)?

they just kind of started for me because about 4 years the eating and going to the bathroom was my only problem and everytime i was about to go out i made myself use the bathroom even if i didn't have to. I was always straining.

I would certainly get looked at by a GI to rule out and hopefully confirm what your issues are a result of.
