Well yesterday was the BIG day and I got through it fine! The doctor said I did really well and that everything looks pretty good on the inside. He said my colonoscopy looked perfectly healthy, but my stomach was slightly irritated (although, no ulcers or lesions), and it's J-shaped, which might contribute to my gastroparesis. They took some biopsies and I'll have the results in about a week.

I found out what was up with the piercings (and I could have left them in, the nurse was just being a poop-head). It had to do with if they needed to put grounds on my body, they needed to know if I had any metal implants. They don't like dangling jewelry, like earrings and necklaces, because of all the tubes and whatnot around your body but I could have left my piercings in no problem.

Thanks again so much for all the support!!! You guys are the best!

Great news to hear! And now you can relax, enjoy eating again and put this all behind you (no pun intended!)...

And now you can also spread the word that colonoscopies, etc. are not bad! The prep is the worst part......many people put off scheduling their first colonoscopy because of all the awful stories they've heard (assuming the procedure is painful to endure). Nothing could be farther from the truth.

So please inform others that these procedures save lives! Thanks.......I've personally been able to get at least a dozen family members/friends/casual acquaintances to the doctor. It could be over 12 by now....many have thanked me, in whispered conversations at social events. I whisper back to them - glad you had your procedure....and then I launch into - please spread the word.....LOL

Anyway, I wondered how you did and am so relieved to hear you had positive feedback!

Thanks for the update on jewelry. It sounded like they expected you to go into cardiac arrest or something. I thought all stomach were j shaped for some reason.
