about
2 months ago my stool started coming out in small broken up pieces. I don't think im constipated, becase it seems soft and I've been going everyday or so still...it's just starting to worry me because it hasn't cleared up on its own and its been months. I've tried fiber, probiotics, herbs, laxatives, everything I can think of, and still the same result. I also have some mucus present occasionally when I wipe...do you think its anything serious?
Hopefully someone could shed some light on this for me.

You sound like you are getting some narrowing of the colon. Have you seen a gastro Dr. I think you should probably have a colonscopy and see if there is some blockage starting up.

Hi FNY,
Welcome to HealingWell!
I agree with Canyon... Go see a doc. Anytime your stool changes, for whatever reason or in the slightest way, you should always see a doc about
it. It could be nothing. But, it is better to be safe than sorry.

FNY
A few things that always that always put me in this condition are dairy products (especially cold), hamburgers (especially fast food type) and other deep fried foods. If I indulge, I pay, when I stop it goes away (hey, that's kind of catchy).
Things that help me minimize this are Betaine hydrochloride capsules (I don't produce sufficient stomach acid for good digestion of difficult fats) and certain oils (which improves my stool consistancy and movement). All prescribed by a professional natural care physician, so I'm not suggesting self diagnosis.
It is almost automatic for me anymore whenever I experience a change in stool to immediately consider what has changed in my routine; food, physical activity, weather, stress. I can usually can identify it.
Hope it's a simple fix.
