Heyall, i have seen the doctor and he suspectis diverticiliis but it would be nice to know if anyone else has these symptoms. Ok first of all this seems to have come on after christmas, before that i was fine. It seemed to have all begun with a bladder infection, i seen a doctor got the right medication but then i started to have this pain and soreness in my lower left abdomen, which i figured was just my bladder. But then my intestines started gurgling non-stop day and night, went and seen the doctor again, listened to my stomach and told me i had IBS and to change my diet. So i did, but i decided to get a second opinion and that doctor told me i had the symptoms for diverticilitis and sent me for xrays. I am now in the process of collecting my own stool samples, but one thing i did notice is now my stool seems squished, i know this is one of the signs of colon cancer but before i go stressing myself out i am wondering if this might also be due to an abscess in my bowel from the diverticilitis which i left untreated unknowingly for 4 weeks now. Any info would help.

PS. The pain seems to subiside a little once i have a bowel movement.

I have just finished taking Ciprofloxacin for 10 days, at first it hurt on my lower left side but the pain has subsided, i do however still feel like there is this mass or something that is still there. Another thing is when i try to do some lifting it starts to hurt in that general area, also i am urinating alot. I am seeing a specialist on Feb 9/09 but would like to know if anyone else experiences this.
