Just wanted to say hi, I have IBS D DX about ten years ago have had it since 10 years old - I am 35 year old man now
Its been a long agonizing journey so I can relate to anyone with this situation. I am currently am on Lexapro, Citrucel in pill form, I take Immodium something i recently have discovered -which is a ridiculous statement for someone with this condition- moving on I drink a lot of tea -peppermint and chamomile mostly I drink no liquor.
I have had many bad days with many embarrasing situations. Im still learning to live with it but I try to keep my head up and realize its ok when I look at the big picture -I wiull admit I do get selfish at times and wooas mee a bit. Anyways Im atom and I look forward to sharing on the forum.
smilewinkgrin

P.s. I have fallen to the notion that in my younger years I was so nervous and panicky that I think i pulled the trigger on the nerves in bowel and basically the nerves never recovered. Call me crazy. I really have no other explanation.

Hi hope everything is well!!! I have a question for you. My daughter has suffered from stomach problem all of her life. She is 10 years old and since birth she had intestinal surgeries. Since 2006 she has been chronically nauseas and having stomach pains everyday. The doctor has done every testings under the sun and have found nothing wrong with her. The las test done on her yesterday was a Bravo PH Probe plus biopsies. I have to go tomorrow to the childrens hospital to drop off the monitor. I hope that they find something now so they can treat her. The doctors say that if everything comes out negative, they will be treating her problem as a Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I am not so sure of what kind of treatment they would do on her. Now my question is: Did you have the same kind of problem at the beginning? Where you always nauseas and had stomach pains? or is my daughters' symptoms a little diffrent. I would kindly appreciate if you have any answers for me, because right now I don't know what else to do. She is sick every day and sometimes worse than others. She goes to school everyday sick, and the teachers can't do much  for her in school. Hope you can help with some answers.  Thank you and good luck with everything.

Sincerely,
BRitt1o

Im very sorry to hear that your daughter is having these problems. Nausea was never a problem of mine. Nausea definetly sounds likes a problem within the stomache -this is know way factual info its just off the hip so please do not take this information as a doctors opinion -I am not. With that said. As a child it was so diffucult for me to articulate my problems so im sure you might be having this problem as well. Anyway you said she is nausea s -but does she actually throw the food back up? food goes throat- stomache -small intestine than large intestine .something is is playing havoc in the stomach -Its possible Ger-gastroesophageal reflux- might be the culprit. By the way you said she has had intestinal surgeries -for what? I dont want to assume, Im sure there are other things that it can be but i hope i have been able to point you in a good direction and hope she gets better soon. Good luck. If i can help more please ask.

Thanks very much for writting back. My daughter had an intestinal blockage at birth. The doctors checked all of her intestines and everything is fine. As far as the spitting up and nausea they said is very unlikely for her to have acid reflux, because they have done every test there is. She is not vomiting is just the nausea and feeling like food is coming up. Any way thank you very much is good to hear other people's opinion. It just helps trying to find the solution to my daughters problem.

Thanks,
Britt10
